Moody Radio Audio Reports from Africa

Listen to reports by Moody Radio’s Julie Roys who traveled to Ghana, West Africa to learn more about how HCJB Global is helping local partner ministries use radio to spread the Gospel.

01 “Seizing Radio’s Popularity to Spread the Gospel”
In America, TV and computers dominate as the most popular media choice. But, in Africa, these mass media pale in comparison to radio. This is one reason why Moody Radio is joining with HCJB Global and its ministry partners to Turn the Radios On in Africa. Moody Radio’s Julie Roys recently visited the West African nation of Ghana. And, as she reports, radio is proving a powerful medium for spreading the gospel

02 “Teaching the Bible to People Who Can’t Read”
How do you teach the Bible to people who can’t read? TheoVision – one of Moody Radio’s partners in its Turn the Radios On Campaign – faces this issue constantly. That’s because TheoVision ministers in Africa, where only 30-percent of the population is literate. One method TheoVision uses is radio. But, its radio ministry is proving effective – in part – because TheoVision already has an established audio Scripture ministry. Moody Radio’s Julie Roys has more from her trip to Ghana, West Africa.

03 “Empowering Africans to Reach Africans Through Radio”
The best person to reach an African is another African. That’s the philosophy of HCJB Global – Moody Radio’s ministry partner in its “Turn the Radios On” Campaign. Julie Roys recently visited Ghana, West Africa. And there, she witnessed how HCJB Global is empowering Africans to start new radio ministries

04 Julie Roys Reports on Ghana
Missionary life often requires sacrifice. But, for the director of HCJB Global in sub-Saharan Africa, pursuing God’s call has meant dodging bullets and losing everything he owns. But, this man says it’s all worth it to keep the radios on in Africa. Senior Producer Julie Roys reports.
