2008-08-23 | Sub-Saharan Africa Jerry & Elizabeth Koleski, Malawi: “Pray that we would be lights in the darkness during our yearlong home ministry assignment in the U.S. Pray as we raise the additional support needed to begin working at an AIDS clinic in the East African country of Malawi in August 2009. Pray for all the adjustments we will need to make after serving at Hospital Vozandes-Shell in Ecuador for 4½ years.” Jerry is a family doctor and Elizabeth is a nurse who does health education. http://www.thekoleskisonmission.blogspot.com/ |

Pray also as opportunities continue to open in Tomsk, Russia, for training and expanded broadcasting. Pray as Alexei holds training for the partner in Voronezh. |

2008-08-21 | Asia Pacific Pray for a great listener response as Family FM-Cambodia begins broadcasting the Spotlight program. Pray for more unbelievers to tune in to improve their English and also learn about Christ in their heart language. Pray for the start of Spotlight Listeners’ Clubs to facilitate the follow-up of listeners. |

2008-08-20 | Asia Pacific Praise the Lord for the provision of new office space for the Asia Pacific Regional Office in Singapore. Pray as the staff renovates and adjusts to the new facility. Pray for the staff in this time of disruption and for increased support for the missionaries serving in Singapore due to higher living costs. |

2008-08-19 | Euro-Asia Praise God for the opportunity staff from HCJB Global-UK had to attend the three-day Churches’ Media Conference in June. Pray also as the staff prepares to teach a radio course in Bradford called “On-Air for the Kingdom.” Continue to pray for the right person to replace HCJB Global-UK retiree Beryl Rapley. |

2008-08-18 | Euro-Asia Praise the Lord that the Healthcare, Rehabilitation and Training Center (HRTC) in Kiev, Ukraine, held its first church service and two-day medical caravan evangelism outreach at the facility in mid-June. The doctors saw 167 patients, and 41 people prayed to receive Christ. |

2008-08-16 | Asia Pacific/Latin America Steve & Kathy Sutherland, Pifo, Ecuador: “Pray as we complete a six-month assignment at HCJB Global-Australia’s shortwave station in Kununurra and prepare to return to Pifo in October. Praise God that all went well in erecting the first two towers that will support a new curtain antenna in Kununurra. Pray that this will greatly improve the shortwave signal to East Asia. Praise God for the wonderful time/adventure we’re having in Australia!” Steve serves as an engineer at the international transmission site in Pifo. |

2008-08-15 | Latin America Pray for the new family practice residents who arrived at Hospital Vozandes-Quito in July. Praise God for the three residents who have expressed an interest in missions. Thank the Lord for the opportunity that doctors have to speak for 25 minutes every Tuesday on a local television station. |

2008-08-14 | Asia Pacific Praise God for the programs in 13 languages being produced at the HCJB Global studios in New Delhi, India. Pray for creativity in producing programs that clearly present the gospel. Praise God for the opportunity to send nearly 2,000 items such as program guides, tracts, New Testaments and brochures to listeners. |

2008-08-13 | Asia Pacific Pray for much-needed technical personnel for the maintenance and operation of the two shortwave transmitters at HCJB Global-Australia’s international broadcast facility in Kununurra. Pray for protection of the staff, both at the Melbourne studios and in Kununurra, especially those traveling on deputation. Praise God for the Maindonalds’ help with the construction team. |

2008-08-12 | North Africa/Middle East Praise the Lord for generous donations to the Satellite Broadcasting Project for the Middle East given at recent events in Canada and for the active participation of Canadians in assisting with the flood relief in Ecuador through sending donations and physician packs. |

2008-08-11 | Euro-Asia Praise God for the training Allen Graham gave to volunteers at Radio Vida in Spain. Give thanks for the faithfulness and passion of those who participated in the training and are applying it. Praise God for the new trainees and partners in North Africa and the live programming they are providing. Pray for the protection of each partner. |

2008-08-09 | North America Dwight Lind, Sierra Vista, AZ: “Pray as I cope with the loss of my late wife, Lynne, especially as the one-year anniversary of her death approaches on Sept. 9. Pray as I move on and make decisions about whether to retire or continue working for a few more years. Pray for God’s leading as the World Radio Network (WRN) purchases a building for KWRB in the Sierra Vista, AZ, area and for His supply of work teams needed to renovate the building.” Dwight is the western regional director of WRN, a cooperating ministry of HCJB Global. |
