A cooperative ministry of HCJB Global and Leadership Resources
International, Apoyo began in 1992. Staff members include missionaries from
HCJB Global, Leadership Resources and personnel on loan from other
missions. They come from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador,
Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela and the U.S.
Apoyo (meaning "support" in Spanish) has three main objectives:
Evangelize non-Christians through campaigns and one-on-one encounters.
Edify believers through parenting and family life conferences, women's
ministries, youth meetings, small-group Bible studies, and seminars on discipleship,
missions and servant leadership.
Equip pastors and Latin American church leaders in leadership development
by offering solid biblical teaching in areas such as practical theology,
inductive Bible study methods, principles of preaching, missions, Christian
education, servant leadership, and pastoral counseling.
Held pastoral training events and all-church conferences for more than
10,000 pastors and church leaders in Argentina, Peru, Chile, Cuba, Mexico,
Nicaragua, Honduras, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil and the U.S.
Continued to develop leaders through a program called Training National
Trainers (TNT), modeled after 2 Timothy 2:2, in Peru, Honduras, Mexico,
Chile and Argentina. TNT is a strategic three-year program that equips
national pastors to train other emerging national church leaders for the
ministry.
Hundreds of churches benefited from teacher training
workshops, family conferences and other seminars and Bible studies.
