In almost all Central Asian countries it is illegal to become a Christian or even to tell others about Jesus. Central Asia is considered “unreached”, with fewer than 0.01% Christians. But radio overcomes political and cultural barriers. HCJB Global trains national believers to produce programs that are broadcast back into their countries through powerful transmitters or posted on the Internet. This way those who do not know Christ can hear about Him in their own language in secrecy. Discipleship programs are also a lifeline to the persecuted underground church and isolated believers.
Project gifts cover the broadcasting air time and Internet costs and the travel and materials for training the local radio producers.
