Put a “radio missionary” in the hands of someone so they can hear the Good News
The Turn the Radios On program sends SonSet radios to our radio partners around the world. Each hand-held, rugged, solar-powered radio is pre-programmed to the frequency of the partner's local FM Christian radio station. Staff then distribute them in prisons, nursing homes, remote villages and to poor individuals and households who cannot afford radios or don’t have electricity. Through the SonSet® radios, listeners learn about the Good News of Jesus Christ and hear programs about ways to resolve conflict in their relationships or local healthcare issues. We have already placed over 27,000 SonSet radios in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa, but have requests from partners for over 100,000 more.
Each radio costs $35 (which includes shipping to the destination site). It's like putting a missionary in a prison, in a home -- or right in the middle of a remote village!
