HVQ Chaplain reaches out to medical resident

Our Hospital is here to provide integral health to our patients but not only to them but also our staff. We will be much more effective at spreading the Gospel when all the 500 employees of our health facility know the Lord.

Our Pastoral team has a big job handling our patients and employee load. One of our chaplains, Christina, made it her goal to target a medical resident student to evangelize. She set this goal for two reasons; first she wanted to overcome her personal fears’ of intimidation for doctors' “intellectual superiority.” The second reason was because their respective offices are in the same area.

In January a resident named Carmen pulled Christina aside because she need to talk to someone. Carmen was spiritually and emotionally stressed due to an automobile accident that she was involved in a week prior. Christina listened to her story and felt compelled to share the gospel with her. Oh! How the Lord can use accidents and problems to draw people closer to Him. Carmen did receive the Lord! Imagine the impact that she will have on her sphere of influence.
