SUMMER MISSIONARY SCHEDULE 2008

JUNE

  • 1 Travel to Quito from Miami or Houston
  • 2 Orientation - 8:00 AM - AA Room; lunch at Mitad del Mundo
  • 3-6 Work Week
  • 5 Supper and evening at Reimer’s - 6:00 PM
  • 7 Trip to Mindo
  • 9-13 Work Week
  • 10 BBQ - meet at guesthouse - 5:30 PM
  • 12 Supper and evening at Reimer’s - 6:00 PM
  • 13-15 Retreat at Papallacta or Water Project Visit
  • 16-20 Work Week
  • 19 Supper and evening at Reimer’s - 6:00 PM
  • 21 Trip to Otavalo - meet at the guesthouse at 7:00 AM - lunch in Cotacachi
  • 23-27 Work Week
  • 26 Supper and evening at Reimer’s - 7:00 PM

JULY

  • June 30-July 4 Work week
  • 4 4th of July picnic - 5:30 PM
  • 3 Supper and evening at Reimer’s - 6:00 PM
  • 7-9 Work week
  • 10-13 Shell trip
  • 12 BBQ with Shell staff
  • 14-18 Work week
  • 17 Supper and evening at Reimer’s - 6:00 PM
  • 19-22 Evaluation, wrap up at the beach
  • 19 Meet at the guesthouse - 8:00 AM - make sack lunch at Reimer’s
  • 22 Return - supper at host home
  • 25 Host and Hostess Appreciation Dinner - 7:00 PM
  • 26 Leave Quito for Miami or Houston - Hosts responsible to bring SM to airport. (if you can’t, let Roger or Lois Reimer know)

Host/Hostess - provide breakfasts everyday, lunches on Saturday and Sunday (during the week they will be on their own for lunch), dinners everyday. This stands unless the summer missionaries are out of town on a trip to Riobamba, Shell and Otavalo or other arrangements are made between you and your summer missionary. You will be reimbursed for breakfasts, weekend lunches, dinners and overnight. The summer missionaries will receive monies from their funds for their lunches during the week days. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
