Global Teams: Medical Requirements
ImageEACH INDIVIDUAL TEAM MEMBER IS REQUIRED TO FILL OUT THE GLOBAL SHORT-TERM TEAMS EMERGENCY MEDICAL FACT FORM.

LATIN AMERICAN Region

  • Must be able to withstand high altitude. This means if you have a heart condition you may be unable to work in these conditions.

EURO-ASIA Region

  • Immunization opinions vary on Ukraine and Russia as far as what is advisable. It is best to check what is currently recommended by doctors in the US.

SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA Region

  • The major issue is Malaria. You must be willing to take malaria prophylaxis. Malaria medication does not guarantee prevention of malaria, but generally prevents death by malaria. Four options that are acceptable include Primaquine, Doxycyline, Malarone or Mephlaquin(mefloquine).

NA/ME Region

  • No requirements at this time

ASIA PACIFIC Region

  • Medical Examinations at Visa Application time are required. This generally takes place in Singapore upon entering the country. In the Asia Pacific region there are locations that will also require that you are able to take malaria prophylaxis.
