Transportation
The HCJB Global Short-Term Teams Department will be available to make your air travel arrangements.

All travel in you ministry location will be arranged by the Short term Team Department and/or your host. Generally this travel is provided by chartered bus, mission vehicles or rental vehicles.

Lodging
The HCJB Global Short-Term Team Department will arrange for your lodging. Lodging arrangements will be explained and discussed with the team leader in advance.

Cooking
In a unique situation, we may ask you to recruit a cook or two. Cooking for the team is a vital ministry as the team morale is often affected by the quality of the meals as well as the attitude of the kitchen team. We will send information to help your cook plan for meals.

Trading Money
Please, no personal or traveler's checks. It is best to use a local ATM where you typically get a better rate of return and eliminates the need to carry much cash. If you don't want to use an ATM, we have found that it is easier to exchange currency using cash. Usually we ask the team leader to distribute envelopes to each team member. We ask them to write their name and the amount of money to be exchanged on the outside of the envelope and put the cash inside. The missionary host and a representative from the team can then exchange all of the money for the entire team. With this method the team can remain effective with only 2 people standing in line at the bank.
