To provide churches and other Christian organizations the opportunity to become personally involved in world missions by working side-by-side with missionaries and nationals, while exposing and challenging individuals regarding their personal commitment to world evangelization.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
What does a work team do? Most of our teams are involved in construction projects; however, teams are also needed to help with children’s ministries and other types of direct evangelism.
Who can join a team? We accept teams that are sponsored by a church, Christian college or other Christian organizations. These organizations have their own criteria for their team members; however, we also ask that each team member agree to follow a code of conduct approved by HCJB Global. We primarily are looking for adult team members; however, teens and youth teams are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Individuals without a team can fill out the Application Form--PARTICIPANT and we will attempt to place you on a team.
Who handles the details?
Your ministry trip will be planned and lead by experienced Short-Term Mission leaders. We ask that the sponsoring organization name a team leader to assist the HCJB Global leader. Due to the often challenging travel arrangement necessary to many other countries, HCJB Global will make these travel arrangements.
What about the finances?
Just like our career missionaries, each team member and or organization is required to raise the necessary finances to cover their travel, ministry and daily expenses. These finances must be paid into an account established for your team by HCJB Global.
What is included in the price?
The team cost includes your daily living expenses while at the ministry location, such as meals, daily ground transportation, and group lodging. Each team member is expected to cover the cost of all personal spending money, snacks, meals while traveling to and from the ministry country, passport and visa expenses, and vaccinations.
