There are more than 100 nationalities and ethnic groups of people living in Russia.

Lak - live in southern Russia. The men raise livestock while the women farm. However, they are also known for their craftmanship. They make jewelry, candy, textiles and copper objects. Many of Laks are multilingual (speaking more than two languages).

Tatars - are descendents of Mongols who swept into Europe in the 13th century. Families are very important to them and often two or three generations live together in one house! They love music and songs and will perform folk music whenever they have a celebration.

Yurak Samoyed - live in Siberia. They are also known as Nenets, which means "real people" in their language. They live along the siberian coast of the Arctic Ocean and most of them raise and breed reindeer.
