Eurasian Eagle Owl l Reindeer l Wolf Eurasian Eagle Owl - is the largest owl and can live up to 60 years! It has excellent eyesight and hearing, which allows it to hunt at night. It's smooth feathers make it almost silent as it flies. It eats mainly mice and squirrels, but occasionally it will even eat a cat! Reindeer - live in herds in northern Eurasia and North America. They are the only kind of deer whose females have antlers! If you hear a rustling noise when you are near a reindeer, that is because their muscles make a crackling noise when they walk! Wolf - live in the forests, steppes and marshlands of Russia. They live in groups called "packs." The packs hunt reindeer, beavers and domestic animals. Whatever food they get, they share with the whole pack, even the very young and old. |
