Rabat became the capital of Morocco in 1912. The government is still situated there. Rabat is the second largest city in Morocco with 1 million people.

Rabat is a beautiful city and has been called the "City of Flowers" because of its many gardens. The city is calm and open and is located on the Atlantic coast by a river.
