Dr. Viggo Olsen has spent the majority of his life faithfully serving God in Bangladesh. He dedicated 33 years overseas as a medical missionary and was even compared to Dr. Livingstone the great 19th century missionary.
At 85 one might think he would retire, but not Dr. Olsen! He and his wife have dedicated their time to translating the New Testament into Muslim-friendly English!
The need became apparent after they began serving in Bangladesh. Upon arriving they found that the only Bible available to Muslims dated back to the 18th century and was more culturally suited for Hindus and Buddists.
So they started the long and tedious journey to translate the Bible in a way that more Muslims could understand.
Despite being slowed down by age, Dr. Olsen continues to work to serve Gods kingdom.
