It`s a story of rags to riches--spiritual riches! After Maria and her daughters received Christ in Ecuador, Maria asked the pastor to meet with her husband, Enrique.
Enrique had a difficult childhood. Poor, depressed, suicidal and living on the streets, he tried to escape through drinking. His desire was to cause suffering for others.
At age 19 he married Maria, and brought to their marriage all of the hurt, pain, and anger of his childhood. But God heard the prayers of Enrique`s family!
He bought a Bible so he could contradict the pastor. And upon reading it, he began to understand the true meaning of salvation. Enrique received Christ and God began to heal the wounds of the past.
