The Jack and June Nikkel* Media Center will provide an environment for gaining hands-on experience with current and emerging media technologies. In addition to providing support for training and learning activities, this facility can be used for the production of audio and video content for use by HCJB Global and its partner ministries.

The media center will help open the door to new opportunities by enhancing the range of involvement that we can offer to young technologists. Media trainees will have a place to put their skills to work on Kingdom applications.

The never-ending need to communicate well what we see God doing around the world will be better met by having the appropriate tools and media staff. We need people to join us who can help us make the most of today's technology-based communications techniques. It is expected that the Jack and June Nikkel Media Center will be in operation by spring 2010.

*Jack and June Nikkel were dear friends and enthusiastic participants in the ministry work of the HCJB Global Technology Center. They were from Shafter California where Jack's company, Nikkel Iron Works, produced hay rakes that led the industry with rugged quality and legendary reliability. Jack and June regularly took out time from their work to visit the Technology Center and spend a few months at a time assisting with a variety of projects. Jack was an expert in the machine shop and with plant maintenance. June regularly blessed the staff with batches of homemade cookies. This earned her the unforgettable title of "The Cookie Lady." Jack and June have both left this earth and are now enjoying being in the presence of their loving Heavenly Father. However, by way of a generous legacy gift, their ministry investment will continue to bear fruit for many years to come.
