I’m Ahmed*. I was very eager for quite some time to know about the religion of the Messiah. Then one night I found your radio station on our satellite TV, and I heard a report about Jesus, which made me attracted to Him. I really like the music you play – even my father who is usually very strict sometimes listens with me. Your programs truly shake me in a way that I cannot describe. The more I listen, the more I feel God comforting my soul, and I don’t know why! Please send me anything that can be of benefit to me to know Jesus Christ in a true way. Could you send me the Holy Bible?

Greetings to all whom I consider my friends at the station! I am Amani*, and I would like you to accept me as a new friend to your radio station. I am a university student, and I would like to get to know the Christian religion. Therefore, I have chosen the Bible as my field of study. My friend Rashid* told me about your satellite radio station, and I began to listen. The music and programs about Jesus have made an important impact on my life and now I listen to it regularly through my computer or phone. I’ve become an addict. I feel empty spiritually and am at a crossroad. I am writing to you for help. Please send me the Holy Bible and some study materials that can help me and get me out of this lost feeling. With no other avenue to turn, I am coming to you for answers and guidance in eternal matters.

My name is Saida*. I’m 23 and live at home with my parents and brothers and sisters. My father is a car mechanic and my mother cleans houses. I stay at home and take care of the household chores. It’s so depressing. We don’t have a computer or Internet in our house, so I turn on the TV and turn it up loud so I can hear it wherever I am cleaning or cooking. Once I was so bored I went through every radio channel available through our satellite TV, and I found one I really liked. I especially liked the songs they were playing – I was attracted to them because of the good words. The station also plays programs on various topics, and I was curious to hear about something new to me – Christianity. People share their own experiences on the air, so I kept listening. I even wanted to find out more, so I texted to the number given out during one of the programs, telling them I like their programs and want to be their friend. I keep listening to learn more about Christians.

I am Jamal*, and I am not a good Muslim – I observe the holy days, but I don’t go to the mosque or do daily prayers. I work as an accountant for an export company, and at the office, I put on my earphones and listen to the radio online. I searched for an online radio station in Arabic and found one I like because of the music it plays that has positive messages. I also started listening to the short programs in between the music that talks about God and finding answers to life’s problems. I started talking to my wife about what I was hearing on the radio, and we found we could listen to it on our satellite TV. So Jamila* began listening to it during the day while she is at home. We started discussing what we had heard during the day when I came home from work and decided we wanted to know more about Christianity and actually read the New Testament for ourselves. So, after three months of listening, we decided to email the station’s address and ask them to send us a copy of the Bible we heard them read so that we could learn more about Christianity. We just received a copy of the New Testament today and are excited to know more about Jesus.

I decided to break my silence and write to you, because frankly I like very much the words from the Bible, because they teach how can a person change his way of life. I have been listening to you for long time, but not until now that I have decided to write and be a part of this spiritual calling and eternal life. I would love to read the Bible and know more about the life of the Messiah. I am a well educated person and a university student. When I listen to your programs about the Bible I feel a great deal of peace and comfort in my soul. My desire is to know the truth about Christianity. Send me the Bible in Arabic. “
